Our service user's self help groups is open to

sufferers over the age of 18.

Our structured self help groups provide service user's with support in working through different aspects of recovery in a relaxed, confidential and welcoming environment.

The sessions focus on providing information and support to help aid a full recovery, increasing confidence and self-awareness, and facilitating the learning of new skills.

All groups are self help focused as recommended in the Clinical NICE Guidelines, and alternate between educational and open support sessions.

The educational groups tackle issues and concerns which are relevant to eating disorders and recovery, with each session focusing on a particular topic e.g. nutritional management, body image, coping strategies, and anxiety management.

The open support sessions involve attendees discussing any issues they have, or gaining information and advice they may need. It is an hour and a half long session in which individuals can openly discuss any topics they wish to in a confidential and comforting environment.

For information on the dates of these sessions please view the calendar page. A view of the location can be seen in the 'Maps' page.
